A Trip to the Georgia Coast

Brunswick, GA / St. Simons Island / Jekyll Island

At the beginning of the week I decided to make a very impromptu trip 8 hours away to the Georgia coast to visit someone very special to me.

Jeanina is a friend that I would travel across the world to see, yet we have never once lived in the same place. She once lived close to my parents years ago and I met her shortly after my dad was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. I have no doubt that God brought her in my life at that time for a reason. Every time I went home, she planned coffee dates, trips to the nail salon, and would even bring me smoothies at the hospital and swing by just to give me a hug. I will never be able to thank her enough for loving me so intentionally and so well during the hardest time of my life.

Since then, her and her husband Nicholas have moved a few times. Sometimes we got to travel to see other and sometimes we just couldn't. It's been over 2 years, but every time we see each other everything feels so normal. We explore new places, eat new food, and talk about everything deep and wide.

I love you. I can't wait to see you again sweet friend. Thanks for always letting me take your pictures. I’ve always wanted to photograph on Jekyll Island.

Here are some more little snapshots of our sweet time together.
